Nice sounding production, Marc and Dean--congrats. My only slightly critical comment is that the vocal track sounded a little "boxy" compared to the other tracks when it first came in and the instrumentation was light. Stephen's getting a great tone on the guitar--where's he been? Haven't seen him on these boards lately.VinceP.S. Listening 3rd time--think the banjo could be a hair brighter.

First off, good song. It's really catchy.I would have to agree that the banjo would be better if it were a little brighter, the chorus seems kind of blurry because the banjo isn't distinct enough. Other than that, this is great.I'd get up and start dancing right now......but I warn you, I dance kind of like Elanie on Seinfield.Andy

Hey Guys,Really Nice work! Overall I think the musicianship and production is excellent. I think the lyrics are great too and paint a nice fun picture and fun overall song. Can you let us all know what your goals with the song, and this demo are? Pitch to publishers, pitch to film tv, did it for fun etc...I may have some suggestions but would like to know where you guys are going with this before I comment.

Vince, Andy, Lee, thanks for the feedback! Lee, our main goal is film-tv, but we are gonna pitch it to some Nashville country artists, too, just to see what happens there. So, any specific suggestions on either would be greatly appreciated. We'd love to learn, even if we don't change this song, it'll help us on the next one. This was a very fun, very satisfying collab. Marc was GREAT to work with. I love the groove he found for the verse. Love it! Also, love the bridge .. nice change of pace. We both (well mostly Marc) worked hard to get the most hook and lift we could from the chorus. Please, tell us how we did on that. I also love Marc's vox on this. I think he gives the guy a cool personality .. right for this lyric. And his production is great too.Stephen and Devin .. what can I say .. they delivered great tracks .. in short time. If it weren't for Marc and I being so slow with the songwriting tweaks, we'd have been done months ago. Thanks guys. Thanks to you p2p reviewers for your past comments that helped this track to where it is now. Thanks for voting on the 2 chorus options we posted. We went with your favorite .. about a 2/3 majority. Special thanks to TimW and Claire for some lyric comments that helped me get another 5 percent out of this lyric.Did I say thanks, yet?DeanPS I'd love to hear Marc, backed by The Stevin's Country Band, play this live in a Texas Honky Tonk!
