Sounds good, B. I'm not familiar with the original Terminator theme, so I can't do a direct comparison. I was listening on studio quality headphones and there was some serious low end rumble going on--I'm assuming that was intentional and meant to be heard through a sub woofer.Either a string or horn on the main theme (which was heard in several instances) was giving a weird release on note transitions--you might have to articulate that differently or add some verb to cover it. The whole thing sounded pretty dry, but I assume that was intentional also.Great job!Vince

hey B~i would say this is pretty darn good for banging it outso quick!as my orch skillz are non existent, i dont want to seem like i thinki know more than anyone...but i hear the strings come in at thestart..and they seem almost too clean and perfect sounding to me...maybe a kind of reverb will help them blend into the mix~(maybe the same would go for the horns?) also hearing thestrings on just the right side makes my head tilt to the leftin compensation: )i hope my ramblings help~peace! and keep it up B!G

Cool sounds B.... I think it's a good start!It's still a little too synth-y for me. Orchestrating MIDI is tough because it depends on your samples and how they play. This is a good example of how the notes don't always translate into the actual feel of the original music -- but this can be fixed pretty easily.... though it is a pain! You may already know all these little tricks, but just in case........Get out your MIDI scalpel and double (or triple) your lead instruments so you can overlap notes without worrying about anything dropping off. Make a copy of the exact line, and start playing with each note to get more expression out of it (knocking off the less expressive note from the original line). The shorter notes are harder to get sounding just right, but diligence usually pays off in the end.You can try offsetting notes very slightly to give a little more human touch (I like to do this manually better than selecting "Humanize"). Also look at doubling those lines with other similar instruments.... say doubling a cello line with a viola patch, french horn with trombone, etc... just to make it a little more lush. Either that or go with some different mics if you have the EWQL Orchestra.... maybe all of the above. And that could be a good idea for the lead instruments as well.It's got some good promise.... best of luck putting it all together!

Sounding good to me!Of course, having said that, I did have an idea right at the end:The final explosion thing crept up on me a little bit. Is there any way to slightly announce it better...even a 1 or 2 second build-up to sort of set the stage?
