on a positive note...I opened the mail.....

on new years eve to find my first royalty check! I rededicated myself to writing and producing about this time last year and I had only one goal for 2008... To have some success with writing no matter how small.And there in my mailbox I found, on the last day of the year, a royalty check from my publisher for $4.55.I emailed my publisher and asked him what he spent his half of the fortune on. I went to the McDonalds value menu with mine.But, I made my goal!!

Very cool! Too bad on the timing, though--that additional income will surely put you into the next tax bracket...V>

Awesome!!! Congrats!!! My first check, a few years back, was for $7.45... My family got a color copy of it framed and it's hanging on the wall in my office... The frame probably cost 5 times what the check was for but it was worth it!It's not always about the money. Just to get to the point where you collect ANY royalty check is a huge accomplishment.
