Hey Guys, I just finished spending some time putting something together for this listing:New Listing ALT ROCK/INDIE POP INSTRUMENTALS for Film/TV placements are wanted by the President of an L.A. Music Library/Publisher who has signed and placed many TAXI writers/songs. You can think in the range of Vampire Weekend, Muse, Placebo, Bloc Party, Franz Ferdinand, Kasabian, Paramore, etc. in terms of approach and stylistic possibilities. These need to be instrumentals only, specifically for the purpose of placements in shows such as One Tree Hill, CSI, Las Vegas, Grey's Anatomy, Rob & Big, The Biggest Loser, etc. This Publisher will be looking for really compelling tracks that sound radio-ready and current/cutting edge. No vocals for this one, please. All tempos will be considered, but mid to uptempo will be preferable. Performances/production must be excellent and recordings need to be Broadcast Quality (great home recordings should be fine). Please submit one to three tracks online or per CD. All submissions will be screened on a YES/NO BASIS - NO CRITIQUES FROM TAXI - and must be received no later than January 19, 2009. TAXI #Y090119ARIt's called "Leave It At This" and it's on my page at
www.taxi.com/dandiazJust lookin' for a little feedback if you have a few to give it!Thanks,Dan

Ya fuzz is a low distored synth bass bit, very modern in usage...

Sounds very ALT/MODERN to me Dan, with great production values. I'm never sure what is meant by INDIE in these listings--is that supposed to mean "sloppy?" This wasn't sloppy at all.I predict FORWARD and PLACEMENT.Vince

Thanks for the positive feedback guys! I was going for kind of a "Muse" vibe with this which was fun; they're one of my favorite bands.Hopefully this will make it through, I feel pretty good about it but you never know....

And as far as what "indie" means, who knows....I'm not signed to a major label, so that makes it indie, right???
