Happy New Year Bob!Sounds great...really great!I was waiting for something to "balance" the panning of the flute. The flute sounds nice on the left...maybe move the piano (or parts of the piano) just a little bit more to the right to even it up? The flute cuts through so well it's insanely easy to place it in the sound field, where the piano (with the effects, etc) fills up my (very cheap) headphones alot more on both sides. My listening setup is very bad though...so just ignore my $0.02 after your evaluation if I'm outta whack.Nice tune...very nice.

Hi Devin,Happy New Year to you!!!Thanks for the input, I have my nephew over ( ( an 8th grader, violin player) and we are working on this tune... I like your suggestion of the piano more right- we are going to give it a shot. I'll let you know!Bob

Happy New Year to you too, Bob.The mix I heard had the flute in the center, so you must have reposted. Nice sound overall and good feel, with the tempo changes and dynamics. Some notes on the flute seemed to overlap--or very close--which is a dead giveaway that it's not real. I'd probably add a little delay and verb to it also.Nice work.Vince

Hey Bob;Nice tune! Since piano is the main accompaniment instrument, you might try panning it more fully -- -48 left, 0 mid, and + 48 right. This will give it a more full feeling. This mimics how one hears a piano in real life (if they're playing it), and makes it more effective. It might also be fun to do some creative panning to add the feel of "wind" into the song -- for example, a slow pan near the end on the flute from mid to right, then left, or even trying this with the other instruments, as if they're all dancing on the wind.Congrats on a great song!Suz

Whichever version you have loaded up at 12:10am on Jan 02 is sounding really nice! Strings are awesome...may I ask what mic you used for your nephew?I'm sure you'll see a few listings for this...are you keeping the ending as is, or do you have other plans there? How quickly this version ended is the only (small) thing that I picked up on.Great tune!

Hi Suz, & Devin,Suz,thanks for your comments,, " just when I thought I was done"(LOL). I like the panning idea, now I'm trying to figure out how to automate the panning. I've been reading but I'm having trouble figuring it out. It is probably something very simple that I'm making more difficult,Devin, thanks for listening, unfortunately, I never got to record my nephew playing violin, he kept popping his e string, so he settled for a theory lesson with the tune. ( he did take the score home to practice , I still may add him to give the strings a some more realism. I'm using the Sonic Implant- orchestral strings- Bob
