Dear Everybody........Please review........
This song is called "These Voices In My Head" and was written about my never ending battle with depression. I would like your thoughts both good and bad.............I would also like to find a guitarist who can really push this over the top. I keep hearing some Bohemian Rhapsody type of guitar work in this song. Very large and hooky...............Anyway...........let me know what you think and thank you. Mark, I think you have probably the coolest voice of anyone I've heard lately. This is a really good song and as personal as it is it has a lot of commercial potential IMO. I think your challenge wil be to make it "bigger" but at the same time keeping it personal and intimate. I have no clue as to how you would do this but I have a gut feeling that you can. Awesome job on this.PS- I have the same battle but everytime I write a song pertaining to it it sucks so bad it makes the situation worse!

I think, personal as it is, folk will relate to it.Nice one.Dave.

mark--this is just brilliant man. this is singer/songwriter pitch as is, in my opinion. i'd submit this and test the taxi mantra that a great tune with a pretty simple production will fly--this sounds very today to me. i'd just pull out the drums/perc and fly with it...and hell, i WISH i was kidding....but seems like we all got some kind of stone we're dragging around, maybe we ought to form a very exclusive taxi support group--wait no--hate that standard word--maybe a "bounce off" group...it's amazing how the most creative folks can sometimes be just a bit messed up--and that is not always a bad thing, you'all who know what i'm sayin', well you know what i'm saying...LOL...hey mark, specifically on the tune, i seriously would submit it--WITHOUT the drums/percussion, truly, it's only 5 bucks if you find the right listing--i love the tune, all the best, warren(panic disorder...but well under control with some pretty generic "normal" meds) funny, never wrote a song about that feeling--but maybe 'cuz i don't want it to come back! LOL...kinda...

Mark,You have a great voice. Not qualified to comment on anything technical or structural about the song, but I enjoyed your singing and the overall sound of the song. Most Artists ( including musicians) are "special' breeds of people. I live with a family of them..... I know. Emotions can run the spectrum from 0 to 60 in a matter of seconds. These episodes are usually fueled by passion. Someone feels so passionate about something that they can't understand how you don't see it etc.... Don't think we have anyone quite diagnosable over here, but only because they've learned to tame the demon to appear to fit in the "normal" category. That must be the Actor side of them.....

Dave,Hmmmmm.....maybe I should have went to college!!!!! Instead I married into a family of artists and am raising the next generation of them. It's in their blood... it seems I have no choice. It's either learn to live with them and how to "work them" or go crazy my self. I chose the first option and it seems to be working out ok.......so far. Never a dull moment!!!! and it's not for the faint at heart I've been "home schooled" for my degree in psychology.

Re: Dear Everybody........Please review........
Mark,I like the feel and the sound - nice production overall in my view - punches good from my little speakers. Would like to see the words posted tho. Piano sounds real good. Beginning reminds me of John Mellencamp. I tend to like it with drums but kind of miss a cymbal at the beginning of the chorus (just my 2c). Also the ride cymbals seem to be buried - which maybe ok (my personal preference is a little more volume on the highs in the cymbals). Toms may sound just a little canned to be picky. Harmonies are effective. Bass sounds good.Really Nice Tune!!Kitz
