I'm submitting for the listing, below, and would like to get some quick feedback -I apprecitate it!LINK --- http://www.taxi.com/kurlyqueen song: TAXI Y081211IN FINALLISTING:ORCHESTRAL INSTRUMENTALS IN A VARIETY OF STYLES are needed by a Music Publisher who has signed several TAXI artists/writers and has secured dozens of great Film/TV placements. This company has fantastic relationships with music supervisors for TV shows/films on ABC, NBC, the CW, HBO, Disney, MGM, Sony, Fox, Paramount plus many others. This company is in need of a vast range of stylistic approaches/eras and the parameters are wide open for this one, as long as the sounds are authentic and the arrangements/performances are fantastic. Public Domain works will be fine, as well as original compositions. There are no stylistic limitations here, but be sure the tracks are at least two minutes in length and that they are recorded at Broadcast Quality. It isn't necessary for these to be "live" orchestral recordings, but you'll want to be very sure that any synth-generated sounds really present like the real deal. Instrumentals only, please. You can submit one to three songs online or per CD. All submissions will be screened on a YES/NO BASIS - NO CRITIQUES FROM TAXI - and must be received no later than December 11, 2008.TAXI # Y081211IN modified to post new version as I plan to submit

Hey, honey. This is actually VERY pretty. And the sound/mix is fine on my little ear-buds (but then again, I know ZIP about mixing...)I DO believe it could stand a little more texturing and/or a little more build. Something about that word "orchestral" makes me think it could be larger, if that makes ANY sense.the piano-esque intro has a great feel to it. I can see this being given a wintery treatment...snowflakes and icy windows.HTH, although I don't know why it would... XOXOX

But... there's a very strange thing that's happening at 0:16, 0:26, 0:36... every ten seconds it drops out and kind of starts over again (or sounds like it). At 0:55 it just stops and drops out completly. That would have to be cleaned up before it would make it past the screeners.A lovely and interesting piece once those things are addressed IMHO...Dave
