Steve Klingforth did the music and vocals. Nice country-rock.http://www.broadjam.com/artists/home.php?artistID=53982 Click "Play" for Rock Ola Lola. It takes awhile for the Broadjam player to start, but the wait is worth it.Rock Ola Lola (Larry W. Jones 10/24/2006) (song#4090)There's an old Rock-Ola in the cornerPlaying songs sung for a dying mournerSweet Lola's gone and left me here behindAnd I can't get Rock-Ola Lola off my mindI keep feeding it quarters, nickles and dimesI lost count after at least a hundred timesWhen Lola said goodbye, it was like a crimeAnd I can't get Rock-Ola Lola off my mindHank just sang about a tear in his beerI'll be dang if there ain't plenty of 'em hereAnd Lola's just about to drive me insaneHere I am playing this old Rock-Ola againThere's an old Rock-Ola in the cornerPlaying songs sung for a dying mournerI keep feeding it quarters, nickles and dimesI lost count after at least a hundred timesWhen Lola said goodbye, it was like a crimeAnd I can't get Rock-Ola Lola off my mindI keep feeding it quarters, nickles and dimesI lost count after at least a hundred timesWhen Lola said goodbye, it was like a crimeAnd I can't get Rock-Ola Lola off my mind

Hi Larry. Nice sound on this tune, pretty good balance and beat. Made me want to two-step, but nobody wants to see that...Is that you playing guitar? Very good tone. It was just slightly off-putting from the start as it seemed out of time during some sections.I wonder what your intentions are for this song? Release on CD? TV/film cue? Just good to have around as something you recorded? The vocal had good time and feel, but wasn't to my taste for a lead singer. I think it'd work OK live--as it sounds like a good bar song--but not for any commercial release that I would buy.Hope you don't mind the brutal honesty!Vince

Howdy ideascapes. Brutal is never futile when critiqing. It's honest (per the individual's viewpoint). I write the lyrics. Others do the music and vocals. So far, Steve Klingforth has done the best job on both, in my opinion. if the songs make it comercially, then my BMI account will pick up on it and I'll get my songwriter's two cents. So - you can do your version of my 5,835 lyrics and retire!Real Country Lyricshttp://www.pic-a-pagediscounts.com/Real_Countr ... htmlIsland Song Lyricshttp://www.pic-a-pagediscounts.com/song_lyrics_1.html
