DUB INFLUENCED ROCK INSTRUMENTALS -Return- Comments Please!

Hi Guys,
Just had a track that I co-wrote with a drummer friend returned. It's called 'Rockdub'. Very disappointed as I thought it was on the money. Stuart Copeland drums and Andy Summers guitars, with a bit of Bruno Mars inspired bass line!
Would really appreciate any comments on why it didn't get forwarded, or a link to a track that did!!!
The critique was yes/no but the screener said this. 'This has the feel', 'I think that the guitars could be more prominent'. The box 'other' was ticked, so it was on target, but the screener wanted more guitars!

Really appreciate any feedback,
Thanks Ian:-)
NEW LISTING -- DUB INFLUENCED ROCK INSTRUMENTALS in the style of "Message In a Bottle" by The Police, "Red Red Wine" by UB40, "Mirror in the Bathroom" by The English Beat, etc., are needed by the owner of an Independent Music Publishing Company that specializes in Film/TV placements. He's looking for instrumentals that have an apparent Dub influenced Rock sound similar in style of the songs referenced. Instrumentals do NOT have to be contemporary, but should be recorded well enough to work for various placements. Instrumentals MUST be fully developed and provide movement. He's NOT looking for Reggae, Ska, or traditional Dub music for this listing. Instrumental performance MUST be top-notch. Broadcast quality is necessary (excellent sounding home recordings are fine). Please submit one to three instrumentals online or per CD. All submissions will be screened on a YES/NO BASIS - NO FULL CRITIQUES FROM TAXI - and must be received no later than Tuesday, May 7, 2013.

Wow, Ian, that is a great-sounding track. I got one returned for this one, too--and it's not nearly as good as yours, in my estimation. But the comment I got was "I like the guitar parts" but that the drums weren't in-style for the listing. I thought I gave them some good, hard old-school Copeland, but I guess I missed.
In any case, have a listen, and maybe you can puzzle it out. I went super-aggressive on the guitars (and super lo-fi), where you're mostly driving with the drums and that real sweet bass. Maybe they wanted it someplace in the middle. Who knows. Mine is at the link below, if you want to compare-and-contrast:

I'd love to hear some that got through for this listing, too. In any case, your track sounds great to me, there's gotta be a place for it somewhere!

Ian..the composition and playing was right on the money IMO,but on my not so great Alesis speakers here, the bass and drums seemed to greatly dominate over the guitar tracks.
That perceived lower end dominance,as I was hearing it here ,somewhat diminished the fine guitar textures of this piece.

thought this track was cool. but the A section the drums were a little stiff, with the 4 on the floor kick. The B section was definitely rocking dug that. but this is also on the rock side, until the bridge, it kinda seemed like it had a little less of the dub influence. Which I also took to mean the use of delay and verb - like those songs where Stuart copeland had delay on his hihat / snare and you could hear it come around.

Sorry I can't be more help Ian. I hear what the screener heard on the mix, but to me it wasn't enough of a problem to sink the forward. Strong tune & great playing.
Mine came back too. Scant satisfaction I know.

Thanks guys for your comments, yeah maybe the drums were too dominant for the screener to forward. I've read about getting tracks re-screened, is this possible?
Also is it worth putting a post in the 'tell us about your forwards/returns section'. I saw a guy there who had an awesome disco track returned and no one could understand why!!!
I will definitely listen to your other tracks to compare! Thanks Ian
