Guys,The listing is looking for 1 to 3 minutes and my tune is 3:15. Any ideas?
http://www.taximusic.com/stream/182395/ ... .mp3Here's the listing:ORCHESTRAL/DRAMATIC INSTRUMENTALS for Film Trailers and various Film/TV placements are wanted by a very successful Production Music Library who has placements with ABC, CBS, NBC, WB, Disney, Discovery, Lifetime, Fox, USA, etc. (to name just a few). They need to hear real instruments or EXTREMELY convincing MIDI tracks. In the words of the Music Director, "We shun bad MIDI like a plague...". Be sure that you send in arrangements and performances that sound authentic and fantastic! They want every track to have a succinct and natural ending - no abrupt cut-offs or fades. There are no specific edits required for this one, but be sure each piece is 1-3 minutes in length - you'll also want to be sure you have the ability to quickly turn around edited segments upon request, should the company contact you. They like to hear a lot of movement in the pieces, with dramatic/suspenseful variation and build. Broadcast quality is necessary, though excellent home recordings should be fine. Please submit 1-3 Instrumentals online or per CD. All submissions will be screened on a YES/NO BASIS - NO CRITIQUES FROM TAXI - and must be received no later than November 14, 2008. TAXI #Y081114INAny input would help!!Kitz

I have no experience in instrumentals and I don't how strict these music libraries can be on that kind of stuff. That being said it seems to me that you're okay. The music is actually much over before you reach 3:15. Otherwise maybe you can fade out around 2:44?Nice tune.

Well, I'll give ya' my $.02. First off, IMHO, this doesn't quite cut it as far as DRAMATIC, and I think I would've given them TOTAL orchestral-type music. No guitars or bass, etc...just orchestral sounds through & through. It's usually not a good idea, IMO, to go over the time limit outlined in the listing, but I have seen where others have gotten by. You may be able to get by time-wise, but I don't know if this really fits the listing well. Fade-outs are usually a no-no, and it specifies in the listing that they don't want any. They're looking for natural endings, which I think you did do in this song. But there again, I'm not sure that this song fits the listing. I'd be totally shocked if it did. Nothing against the song, don't misunderstand. I just don't hear DRAMATIC/ORCHESTRAL music in this one. There's my .02. Take it FWIW. I-468

I emailed Erin at Taxi on this one and hope you didn't submit. She said purely orchestral would be best for this listing. Cool piece though!
