I've been trying to think outside my comfort zone, here's a new one. It's sort of Quirky Dance/Electronica... aiming for film/tv.

Hi Vikki, What I like about this track is the beat you get going from about 0:19. I'm not so sure about the pitched synth you have with it though, I'd like to hear an edgy bass with it so it would get some tension. As it stands, I felt there was quite a bit missing - some kind of melodic element and bass to ground it (though as I say, the synth you have with single stabbing notes didn't do it for me). I felt the bell chime at the beginning was out of place and the initial rhythm was hard to grasp because the beats are so far apart. But I would say at 0:19 it kicks in really well. I hope that helps. Georgie

Hey H'bird...you should get out (~side your comfort zone) more often!I liked alot of aspects of this, to be honest. It's not standard electronica, which I think is cool. The very opening bass drum hit seems overly distorted (could be my setup).I'm obviously as far from being knowledgeable in this genre as it gets, so my $0.02 is only that...but my vote would be to keep this version pretty close to as-is, and then tweak away on version #2 as well if you wanted a track closer to the center of the genre. I would keep this version around too.I love the breakdown around 1:12 too.I can totally picture this as the "quirky comedic investigative scene" on a show like The Office, or Bart Simpson breaking into the school, etc. It's got comic tension to it.

I'm gonna second the need for bass. But then I'm a bassplayer, I think everything needs more bass, to hell with the cowbell, MORE BASS! (at least some bass)-
