Hey guys, If anybody has a second could you listen to this tune and let me know if it sounds a little to wild towards the end? I'm also a little concerned on the levels, you think they sound alright ?http://www.taximusic.com/song.php?song_ ... eam=trueAs always...Thanks again, Rick

RickYou playing this man, or is it a midi thing???Either way it is very good to me. Aren't too many guitar players in here, that is why I get a little excited when I think it might be the "real thing".Sorry I can't help you with the mix. Bet someone will be by soon for that.Paul

Sounds real to me. Oh yeah (raises hand) Guitar player here!!!!!!Levels sounded pretty good to me. Your licks were just a little repetitive. I think a bit more variation and stepping up a third or 5th at the end of some of the passages would sound killerGreat sound on the axe.

Re: Blues Tune Instrumental
Rick,You definitely have some prime-time tasty licks there! As for the tune, it seemed like a good showcase for your impressive chops, but I'll defer to the more experience folks with real placements as to whether or not this fits in any of the marketable chanels. For my own writing, I try to remember the old adage that the average audience wants music to about 50% predictable -- i.e. they'd be able to hum along with the melody when the 2nd chorus starts. And then I keep in mind that half of all people a below average! I assume that a lot of the music that Taxi members actually place is in the background with some other media, so less is probably more. But then there are the action-sports stuff, for which uptempo wailing guitar stuff is absolutely ideal (I would think, anyway). However, this is all just opinion of one old-school guitar-picker.~Stan
