This still needs some touchup work, but I thought it was decent considering the melody occurred to me this morning. The sax and backing guitar have a couple things I want to fix/change.Your thoughts and criticisms would be much appreciated. If I can make the link thing work, that is.http://soundclick.com/share?songid=6892142Song is Titled Midnight LineBest wishes,Leon

Hey Leon,Is this for a particular listing? It helps to know if there's a listing I'm trying to judge it against. But I will say this without really getting too deep.... that cymbal (is it supposed to be a ride?) really needs to change. It's super distracting and very synth sounding, and IMO it makes the song challenging to listen to.I hope that helps, and I'll check back to see if there was a listing you had in mind

No listing in mind, and thanks for the input on the cymbal problem. You were dead on. I was too far into the idea to see the forest, and so on. I took out the harshest areas. There is much yet to be done to this, My Taxi membership should be set up in the next week or so, depending on ascap. No idea how fast they move.I posted here hoping to get a couple opinions on overall quality of the recording, so I have a clear view of what kinds of things to work on. Like many others whose stories I have read, I am trying to ramp things up in every way while waiting for the membership to get settled up.Best wishes, and thanks for your cymbal advice, zoom.

LEON....The guitar is a little piercing for me and the crash cymbal thing like Zoom said ..Got to go.....This is a song I feel will not be forwarded to any listing.. cause the sectional parts r all to long...Give a listen to some of the songs on the forum to get a idea on how there put together so they can get forwarded..Also listen to the drum parts for idea's there...Hope I not sounding to hard on ya!...Just trying to get u going in the right direction....All around playing sounds alright, but u will need more eq..on the mix...It all comes in time.. Any way welcome aboard and with a little listening time and advice from are team u'll do fine... R-MAN...........
