Muzak style pitch.....is it corny enuff?

SIMPLE, QUIRKY, and slightly CHEESY, MUZAK-STYLE (Elevator Music) INSTRUMENTALS are needed by a highly successful Music Library with an impressive list of Film and TV placements. They're looking for Original Down-to-Mid-Tempo Instrumentals that you'd hear in the background at a department store, or in a slow, stuffy elevator. Give them Instrumentals that have a kitschy sound that's just cheesy enough to work for a variety of quirky scenes and scenarios. MIDI sounds are okay for this pitch, but not so much that it feels too stiff or overly robotic. Please avoid submitting Instrumentals that are so frenetic or musically ambitious that they could detract from a scene's dialog. Your submissions should be at least one-minute in length, with easy edit points and non-faded endings.

I haven't seen the exact listing, but given your subject line it certainly matches that style!

Two things.

I would Eq a little of the high end out of the organ or bring it down a bit, it's just a touch too present.

The lead guitar at 1:10. Can you process it to be even more cheesy then it is? I don't have any specific ideas, but throwing some effects at it might help.

Great EQ tips from John. At 32 seconds I felt one of the notes felt a little rushed in the main melody and I could see you playing the keyboard for a second in my mind and it took me out of the groove for a slight second. I think the title is perfect. Groovie Town. Can't get cheesier than that This is so perfect for this listing imo.

(okay, you can tell I didn't listen to the 'campy' reference tracks... went straight to your sc link).

Nothing says elevator music better than a Jobim bossa-nova! Nicely done. You might also try doing a verse with a solo piano playing the melody down two octaves (or doubled one and two octaves down). Very Muzak-y.

Only one suggestion — 1:05 seems like a great spot for an edit point.
