STRIPPED-DOWN, ACOUSTIC (Piano and/or Guitar), SINGER/SONGWRITER COVERS of Contemporary Pop Hits are needed by the CEO of a NON-Exclusive Music Library that gets lots of placements in TV Shows. Male or Female Vocals are both welcome for this pitch. Give them organic, well-executed Covers in All-Tempos that could be found on the same playlist as artists like Josef Salvat, Jocelyn Scofield, Kina Grannis, etc., etc., etc. Please take a listen to the references below to get an idea of what they need:

Give them well-performed Covers of recognizable Pop hits that stay true to the original melody, lyric, and arrangement. You’d be wise to cover a hit that’s been released within the last 5 years. They’re NOT looking for covers of dated Pop hits. Please be sure your vocal performance is compelling, with plenty of character and personality. They need Covers that are solely Guitar/Vocal or Piano/Vocal, so any additional instrumentation will NOT work for this pitch. Keep it simple! Broadcast quality is needed (great sounding home recordings are fine).

I don't know what a screener wearing headphones, listening with laser focus, would say,
but if I heard this under rolling credits of a film, I'd think it was cool, perfect even.

Great job. You should feel good about this, regardless of the outcome.

I quite enjoyed doing it. Now I'm actually thinking about making acoustic covers every week for fun.

It's still all over the place because I'm doing different genres and it's all lumped in in there. But right now, I'm trying to organize my music on taxi/soundcloud/my computer. Hopefully I can make it less of a mess.

Being a member of Taxi just may make re-organizing your haystack o' tracks kinda fun.
You'll be daydreaming about how this might fit some future listing, or how that can be re-purposed, etc ...

The cover-a-week idea is grrrreat. Those listings are rather frequent.
