Judging from your myspace picture it must be hot there in S- Africa in this period.1st: the sounds, the piano sound is not bad but the cello-sound is awful and you will be judged by that if you send in a song.2nd: I like the song, it did not grab me completely but I'm sure with a little more feel it could work well. Maybe cause I felt the piano lacked a bit of emotion I have a hard time feeling a certain type of emotion while listening.Overall a nice song and good start.

Hi RWT.I really like this piece. The melodies to me were very emotional. The cello synth needs to be brought up a bit in the mix when the piano is dominating, but I thought the cello solo was excellent. I think this would be a great piece for TV / Film. Makes me want to write lyrics for it.

Tossing pieces is never good, always finish em, if you don't have better cello sounds I would find some other sound or move the cello melody to the piano. The song is good, and completely on the right track, just takes time to find what to use etc etc.The main thing here when dealing with synth. classical instruments is to fool the listener into thinking they are real and that includes the screeners here in taxi. When you listen to your song and you fee. yourself it's the real deal then your are one step closer. It will always be hard to fool the instrument players themselves.

Hey Runaway, Great stuff! You should have no problem going to the next level. Synths are great for theater pits, gigsand rock, but suck when it comes to scoring and mock-ups. On my music page you can hear a huge difference between the old stuff I did on my synth, and the newer songs I did with decent software. I agree with the above comments. You have great ideas, the key with film/tv is to a) have good (authentic) sounds, and b) make them sound like they are played live. The piano is good, and I like the melody & rythm of the piece. You might try working this as a piano piece only for now, until you get a better library of sounds.cheersHummin'bird
