Heroic orchestral

Hi all

I´m trying for this one
Listing #U160726HO:
Give them dramatic, victorious-sounding Instrumental Cues with full string sections, triumphant horns, epic percussion, and an overall sound that’s filled with a grandiose sound of victory. Your instrumentation should sound authentic and believable! The addition of electro elements in your pieces is fine. Anything material that sounds dated, stiff, or obviously MIDI-driven will not work for this pitch. Your Cues should start building quickly, while getting bigger and bigger until they crescendo to a dramatic climax. Call Of Duty Hans Zimmer Destiny Michael Salvator Tomb Raider by Jason Graves

Wondering if this production sounds convincing to you all, maybe it´s too busy or too soft in the beginning. Any advice from your trained ears taxi members?

Thanks
Stein

Do you mind posting the links to the references?
To my ears, it sounds pretty decent, and the orchestration sounds authentic.
The track switches to grandiose a bit late at 1:34.
The whole cue is a bit long and I honestly didn't feel any building before @3:10 and yet it didn't really grow big.
I might be completely wrong, as I didn't listen to the references, and sorry for being brutally honest ;)

Thank you, honesty is best :)

It did not build much since they ask for a long cue, so don´t know, maybe I should shorten the first part some...

The references are:
Call Of Duty Hans Zimmer
Destiny Michael Salvatori
Tomb Raider by Jason Graves

I listened to Zimmer, Call of Duty notes:
0-:39 Intro
:39-1:39 first build
1:40-even bigger
1:54-bigger still
2:22-adds texture, depth, drama
2:40-epic to 3:18
3:18.. trails off

England 1 - Iceland 2
0-1:34 Intro (nice textures)
1:34-3:10 Build 1 (lovely)
3:10-4:09-Build 2 (just great)
4:09-end softer tail

First I'd like to say your use of the orchestral palette is awesome, everything sounds wonderfully mixed. There's a definite emotion in the track and it does move forward in a fashion even though the first build from 1:34 to 3:10 is a stretch. The track at 4-1/2 mins is too long for the listing, and the Intro is too long in terms of the dramatic build they are seeking. I would suggest starting somewhere around 1:00 to 1:15 if possible. That would cut down the long intro and lead nicely to the first build.

I could hear this in a movie. Nice job!

cheers
H'bird

Thank you so much for taking the time to do all this, analyze and all :),, yes, the Zimmer one was my reference although I don´t like this one too much.. have the feeling he only did the idea part and someone else realized it.

I will definately shorten the piece before sending it in and thank you for your compliments, apreciate it :)
