Hey Andre,First of all, I think this song is way cool! It's catchy and has a great vibe. My main concern is that I just don't know if it's really on target...to me it sounds a lot more like (and don't take this wrong because I love this style) a '90s alternative song. I'm curious, but which of the hit songs by the "a-las" did you check out before writing this? Otherwise, like I said, I think it's a very cool song. But, if it's a bit off the mark (like it seems to be to me) stylistically, then unfortunately that might not matter.Just my two cents. It's stuck in my head though!Dan

Hey Andreh,I have to agree with what Dan said. Although this is an excellent tune with fantastic production flourishes ( dig those backing vocals - addictive!! ), The style doesn't match up with what the rock writers are putting out now and over the last couple of years. It sounds like you put in a good deal of work on this. The guitars sound great! I probably would not submit this tune, since the bar is so high and it does seem to miss the mark for this listing. Best regards,Cisco

Dan: For some reason I had FooFighters in my head when I was producing this track (along with the actual ala's), but after listening to the target artists again I see what you mean. I'm making some changes that will hopefully get it closer to the mark, since a new song at this point isn't an option time-wise.Cisco: Thanks for the positive comments. Are there some particular aspects of the song that stand out as "not current," or is there just nothing current in it at all? I still plan to submit it (I don't give up that easily), but after some re-working.Thanks to Michael/Songwriter for some great feedback via PM as well.André

There in lies the rub. The new FF and CP songs sound very different than what they put out in the 90's.It's a really good song and it is only $5. I'm a gambling man myself and will swing for the fences every once in a while. It's not often listings like this one come along.Best of luck,Cisco

Andre, cool tune.... though I'm thinking back and I don't remember not liking any of your stuff Without beating it to death, I think the genre thing may be the biggest holdback. Lyrically, it's good, but great? It's a good twist on a common theme, but IMHO it's not a particularly unique twist or use. It's very creative... love the rap on the 2nd verse. Like the vocal parts. Melodically it's good but some of the diversity notes seem a little forced (like the highest part of the chorus). Can't put my finger on it right now... I like the part a lot... it just seems a bit awkward for some reason.Specific notes... love package may be pushing it The drop out in the chorus before the bridge seemed more like a mistake than an arrangement choice.Definately a placeable track... but as far as this listing goes I think we are all shooting in the dark Aub

First of all, this is awesome work. I don't think I'm an expert in rock, but I listen to a lot of the greats. The chorus lyrics don't blow me away, OTOH, sometimes simple works. Musically it does work for me. I like what I hear. The best part of the whole song for me lyrically is the bridge, it's a little edgier.

Andre,Better. Much better. Overall sounds more cohesive. Still think the lyrics are the weakest link. Not quite preachy enough...LOL Aub

Andre,I am NOBODY, with no right to say anything about this, my first piece of your work to hear.with that said, THIS FRICKIN' ROCKS! Whoa. One and only comment. I have to agree...very 90's.but I would pay for this tune on itunes in a minute. I LOVED this. And if the lyrics of what I'm hearing lately as current and popular are any indication, this may be too DEEP for most of the buying public. Amazing work. Ted
