Hey guys, 1st mix, very basic, will be redoing the vocal and adding a real live sax solo in the middle. I split the drums up into stereo and worked on spreading out the mix better. Any comments or suggestions welcomed as I have time to make changes. At least I know I nailed the genre this time . GeoMEDIUM to UPTEMPO SONGS ABOUT CITIES (with vocals) from ANY GENRE are sought by an East Coast Music Library/Publisher that has placed dozens of TAXI songs. Lyrically, he'd like songs that deal with the topics of Cities, their people, and landmarks. As examples, think along the lines of "City of New Orleans" (Arlo Guthrie), "New York, New York" (Frank Sinatra) to more modern tunes like "London" (Third Eye Blind). He offers non-exclusive deals for vocal songs. Songs must be Broadcast Quality (excellent sounding home recordings are OK). Please submit one to three songs online or per CD, include lyrics. All submissions will be screened and critiqued by TAXI and must be received no later than Dec. 6, 2007.http://www.taximusic.com/song.php?song_ ... m=trueGood Morning New YorkLyrics and music by George Daniels© 2007Chorus:Feel the thunder, in the distance it groans,Hear the sound of high heels on the sidewalk a city marches on.Fell the thunder, as the streets come back to life,To the smell of the coffee, the love of a Lady and the blare of a cabby’s horn.Good morning New York,Good morning New York.Verse 1:You know, it’s the City that never sleeps, All those lights on Broadway, just as bright as they can be,And you better watch out, on 42nd Street.ChorusVerse 2:You know, Big Apple’s just the place for me,It’s got everything I want, it’s just playground by the sea,I even played a set, before they closed CB GB’s.Break: spoken (sing)Trippin’ Time’s Square, it’s not the same anymore, (Feel the thunder)Pimps and prostitutes replaced by corporate whores.
