I'm new here. I just submitted this for a listing and would love some feedback!

The listing calls for something that would be at home as the backing track to something by TLC or Escape. Basically 90's female R&B. They also stated that it should include some updated elements. The listing has now passed so i can't post a link.

I guess I'm looking for any and all feedback. I'm used to making music for myself so this whole concept of writing for a brief is new to me.
Is my instrumentation appropriate?
Is my mix good?
Should i raise or lower any elements?
How about mastering, any tips?
How about my title?

I dig your track, but it is definitely not a style I am familiar with so can't really comment on it in a useful way. That said, as a rule when you post in Peer To Peer you are more likely to get a useful response if you include a few key pieces of information:

1. If your work will be or has been submitted for a listing you should always include all relevant text and links from the listing. For all we know you submitted this track for a listing looking for "Punk Rock Songs With Female Vocals", in which case we would have a lot more to say about it than if the listing was for " Soul/R&B Instrumentals" ;o) And if there are a la's listed then you should definitely include the links, as they often better describe what the listing needs than the actual text.

2. You should always specify what elements you want feedback on. Mix, production, composition, instrumental/vocal performance, sample choices, lyrics, etc. Otherwise you might get a lot of feedback on stuff you weren't asking for (this message from me is a perfect example!) and other members with limited time who might have a lot to say about all of these topics won't be inclined to respond because they don't have the time to write about all of it.
