Hello - I'd love feedback on this from the board. I already got my custom critique on it, which was really a great help, but I find that the feedback on this board often is even better!I was looking for overall feedback - I'd like to develop it well enough to be able to submit to a listing but was wondering what the genre would be for this, as well how to bring it up to a good level for submission (keep it instrumental, write lyrics for it remix it, etc)I haven't picked a title for it so its listed as Happy Upbeat Instrumental on my taxi page. Thanks!http://www.taxi.com/kurlyqueen

Hi Anne. I can give you my 2cents, fwiw. It's a nice enough tune, with some nice twists and changes to keep the interest.I think it's the production and mix that needs some work.On the whole, it all sounded a little flat, and while you have several different kinds of instrumentation going on, they tend to blend into each other and get a little lost. The main strummed guitar is a little too dominant I think, and the nice touches you have behind it are not coming through. I'd like to hear it with a little more top end, and pushed back a bit in the mix.The break at around 1:00 is cool, but needs to be made more interesting. Maybe bring the bass up a tad in that section, and let it do some accents. The drums overall are very quiet for most of the song.I like the song, and although I don't know exactly what category it would be suatable for, I'm sure there is one.
