Listing - INVESTIGATIVE TENSION INSTRUMENTAL CUES are needed by a Successful Music Library with a long history of Film, TV, and Commercial placements. They’re searching for Investigative Tension Cues in the general stylistic ballpark of the references below:

Please submit well-crafted Instrumental Cues that would work well in a variety of investigative scenes and scenarios. They’re open to both orchestral and electronic arrangements/versions, or hybrids of both. Craft your Cues around a simple, tension-filled melodic idea, while adding and subtracting instrumentation to give them a developmental arc that builds, and some forward momentum as they progress. You’d be wise to keep your Cues on the simpler side.

All submissions should be at least 2 minutes in length. Solid edit points and buttoned/stinger endings are encouraged. Please do not copy the referenced music in any way, shape, or form. Broadcast quality is needed (great sounding home recordings are fine).

That's good. You've got the right chords, the right mood. My suggestion for improvement would be to work on the "thumps" to give them more "thump." Maybe make them louder, fewer, and less predictable when they come in, so they're more scary when they happen. Make the listener jump on the thumps. I could see a music supervisor editing this so that the sinister chords build up tension, and then they edit your cue to sync the thumps with something happening. I think there could be more dynamics overall-- a more drastic difference in volume from the quietest to the loudest. Just my 2 cents. I have no experience with this stuff.

Volume might be a bit low overall...

I only listened to the first one. I'm no expert on this genre, just getting interested in it myself. But on a gut level I wanted to hear more development. It's good at maintaining the same emotion and mood through out, but just as in other types of cues, the practice of adding and subtracting instruments while maintaining the same basic theme adds interest and gives the editor more meat on the bone so to speak.
