This is a tune a wrote a while back. I feel like this track has a retro sound but is still sort of EDM. Not sure. What do you guys think? Kinda having a hard time figuring out which listing I should submit it to.

I appreciate any feedback. Even about the song itself. Right now Im re writing the verses to make them less wordy but even after thats done I dont know what I should classify it under.

Nice track! I got an "Of Monsters and Men" vibe. It has a Pop Edm vibe because of the rises and straight ahead type beat. With that genre in mind I'm wondering whether a more female vocal dominant version might work better, still with the male back and forth?

Very nice song. At first I thought maybe Electronica but the more I listened I really thing it’s fits in the Pop genre.

The drum track & synth sounds, for these Old-Guy ears, had me thinking Madonna-esque... which puts it in 80's pop/rock... right?
The track sounds good & solid; but I wouldn't think it would fit any listings with the word "Contemporary" in it.
My 2 cents, for what that's worth.

I don't think any of my songs will sound Contemporary - until they actually invent a Time-Travel machine!!

It sounds like Pop to me, not EDM. In my limited experience, EDM is more focused on creating a dance experience, and tends to be really intense. Your tune sounds more like a light singable pop tune that borrows some EDM elements like the risers.

Thank you nicotina. I definitely agree. I think im gonna take out the risers and add more acoustic elements to make it a more straight ahead pop song.
