I don't know what the heck genre it belongs in JW. Sort of starts like Pagannini meets Cream, conducted by Paco de Lucia. I like it a lot though. Very nicely done. The ending has a nuevo flamenco feel to it. Reminds me of some of the work done by the Belgian guitarist Raphael Fays (not the playing, the music) when he worked with a violinist--I think they were calling that fusion something or other. Fusion is always a good word for muddying the genre catagories.I assume the malapropism in the title is a pun? Si? No?

"Gypsy Touch" was the Fays album I was thinking of.

I would classify it as prog or ethnic fusion.

Thanks guys! It is good to get an outside take on it. Funny thing happened. I submitted our song "Star Sailor" to listing S060712IN (Dramatic instrumental) and it was thrown in the wrong pile S060712HO (Holiday music). The reviewer liked it but felt it was off track for a holiday listing. (Wonder why!) So, it was re-submitted to the right listing....I hope this time."Star Sailor" was described as "Orchestral Rock" Any comments? www.myspace.com/deuxguitarviolsThanks!JW

I immediately thought of some old Spyro Gyra stuff when I heard this tune. Haven't thought about them for ages. Quick google and find they are still cranking it out.Nice stuff togaman. Check your PM.

Ed wrote: "I assume the malapropism in the title is a pun? Si? No?"Yeah. Inspired by this story http://www.togamanguitars.com/history.htmlIn 15th century Spain, (birth place of the guitar) invading Morrocans brought Rabab bows along and early guitarists did the Jimmy Page thing. The Viol was born. Straight as opposed to bowed? JW
