Hi everyone!

I'm a total newbie who submitted her first track last night! I wasn't totally please with it but I'm trying to hop on the that Write, Submit, Forget, Repeat train really early.

I'm hoping I can get a better night's sleep tonight! With that in mind, would anyone be willing to offer feedback - composition, lyrics, mixing - on the following track? Just checking to see if I'm anywhere in the ball park.

What I feel most clueless about is tagging this thing... I'm curious, how would YOU tag it? Genre, descriptors?

Thanks for your time and attention!

My best,
Mara

EMOTIONALLY UPBEAT "LIGHT POP” renditions of “Joy To The World” are needed by a very successful Music Licensing Company for a Music Supervisor working on a bunch of Feature Films for a Major Cable Network!

Please submit well-crafted, Mid-to-Up-Tempo Covers of “Joy To The World” (Male / Female / Duet Vocals are all fine) that deliver a fun, emotionally upbeat vibe mixed with a vibrant Pop sound and style. Be sure your vocal performance is polished from top to bottom. Your Songs can vary from stripped-down versions (if they're really good) to fuller, more arranged productions, as long as the overall mood and vibe are upbeat and cheerful!

Hi Mara,

I think they want an actual version of the Christmas song 'Joy to the World'....with the same lyrics.
Maybe along the lines of this track....

In fact..it says not to stray too far from the original version..... They want it recognizable as 'Joy to the World'.

My 2 cents,
Tim

Thanks for your reply, Tim! I am so close to the deadline already on this one that I think I'll have to submit what I've got. Will keep your comment in mind moving forward on the other upcoming holiday listings, though.
