Vowed to use the Taxi forum more for help in shaping my cues/instrumentals...want your opinion. No need to pull punches, to get better at this I need the truth. Here is a hip hop dramedy instrumental that I threw together, I am more interested in what you would change about it then what you would keep:

No worries! I'm not a hip-hop dramedy expert but think it's pretty strong - good edit points, nice variation, groove. I'm not *entirely* sure about the sounds used - the strings seemed to not quite fit - but I liked the uniqueness of it and that was a specific part of that listing, if I remember. Others may have more feedback on things that need to be better but I liked it!

No worries! Maybe a more pizzicato rather than staccato string articulation would work better. Listened to it again and really like the bounce it has overall.

Great ear! I changed to a pizzi string, strengthened the piece, I think...appreciate the advice, you ever need an objective ear let me know. And thanks again!
