First Attempt at Drone

Well, here 'tis! My first attempt at a drone cue. Looking for comments, critiques, guidance, etc.
I feel like something is missing, but I understand that sometimes they are supposed to be minimal.
Go to my Taxi Profile page to hear it and let me know what you think!
Thanks in advance.

Try this one:

Something must've changed in the routing when the profile pages were updated awhile back is what I'm thinking.
Anyways, have a listen and let me know what everyone thinks. On the right track? IT'S GREAT! OR....... not so!
Let me know please.
Thanks again.

Is this written toward a specific listing? In my limited experience, it doesn't fall into the 'drone' category that I've heard in the last few months. Aside from that, I like the hypnotic pulse you generate. Maybe some acoustic space to marry the different elements? And I think the fade is discouraged in this style. Music editors want to be able to 'button' the sound cue at the end of a scene.

Thank you sir.
I basically tried to go at an attempt by what I've read from the listings and could remember. I sat down at the computer and went for it.
Your critique is stuff I should've thought about from those listings too. Guess I should read them closer.
I'll see what I can do with it and post again. Thanks again for being the ears I need! Appreciated greatly.

Yeah totally not a Drone track , you need to find some good references. This would not sit under picture very well , there are far too many things jumping out and it's also too repetitive.
There are different flavours of drone-y underscore. Some are more sound design than they are music, others can have a few more traditional instruments on top of electronica.
You can usually listen to other Library catalogues to hear what they have already, here is the first one that came up on Google

Thanks cosmicdolphin. I'll go check those out and see if that's a path that I want to travel down.
Not sure if I'm a "drone" guy, or should proceed with what I do best.
But, thanks for the listen and critique. I'm glad I could get that here.

I would put the main focus on whatever you do best but it's good to have more strings to your bow, it also depends how good your 'best ' is as well. Honing the thing your best at can be good too.
There may be things that orbit your genre that you can pivot into ..i.e. a Rock guitarist could do Post Rock or Hybrid Electronic Music with Guitars on.
