EXPERIMENTAL ELECTROACOUSTIC INSTRUMENTAL CUE

Would love you're thoughts on this before I do my last round of mixing and submit.

Heart Experiment - https://www.skylarvj.com/taxi-forum-sharing

Some main concerns I have
Is it too random?
Does it develop enough?

Here are the references.
This company is on the hunt for Instrumental Cues in the general stylistic ballpark of the following references we got directly from them:

"Telahora" by Nicolas Jaar -

"Telallás" by Nicholas Jaar

"Silver Ladders" by Mary Lattimore

"Chop on the Climbout" by Mary Lattimore

I don't know the ref tracks, but you know the first thing that came into my mind was a sort of comedical cue version of the Beatles "Come Together" for some reason. I don't what else to tell you it definitely has the experimental vibe about which makes it hard to make any comments. I'll have listen to reference tracks later and if I get anymore idea will amend this post.
Interesting, now that you say that I kinda hear it. Comical is not what I was going for. Is it the falling guitar plucks that gave it the comical vibe for you?

I really enjoyed this piece and think it's on target. The panning work was particularly appreciated (it kind of felt like a massage on my brain). I know it's a bit after the deadline but hope it all turned out well (I would have only suggested automating/fading the beginning and end to avoid any abruptness). I really wanted to submit for this one but went for the reimagined covers listing instead. Hope you get a forward! Can't imagine not.

Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed it. Yes, I totally agree there are some sounds that come in very abruptly that I noticed now I should have tamed. I really struggled getting the mix right on this one for some reason.

I might give it another go at some point.

Anyway, best of luck on your reimagined cover, I'm rooting for a forward for both of us.

Nice work. I only listened to the 1st reference, but if I were a screener I would forward your submission. I'm sure you could still improve the mix a bit, but all in all I like it.

Wonderful!! I came back here specifically to see if you got the forward. :D It's well deserved!! Congratulations (and turns out I got one too for the project I opted to pursue, so we both got it!)
