Wow!!!! what a great production, sound, mix,performance...one of the best songs I have heard here. The steel string strum on the left has the most perfect balance and that dude Kristoff on the guitar....killer...this song is for an album for sure.

Amazing, who ever mixed it give him my congrats.

If it is for submission then I have no doubt it will go through.

Hey Andre - to set the 'record' straight: (the credits are listed on the page for this song)
Backing tracks by the Beaird Music Group studio band (6 guys), Nashville, TN. (same that did This Christmas Card for my collab with "your" Stephanie).
Fiddle: another buddy; Steve Peavey
Kristoff did all 3 of the vocals;
I directed the mix with my regular studio/engineer guy.
Thanks for the kind words... glad you're diggin' it.

Funny story? I wrote this in 1982... it got played just once, when I taught it to our church band - captured a very raw version on cassette.
It only took 39 years to finally get it done!!
This is how I'm spending my retirement years. :? funsongs.

I heard a song Kristoff posted on his Soundcloud page - and knew I had to work with a voice like his... DEWD's GOT SOME PIPES!! :P And, can ROCK!!

You get what you pay for and you got your money's worth for sure Peter. I now know this is a great mix and i still struggle to hear the vocals clear. This only reaffirms that I have hearing loss in that range. This also shows me what country rock sounds like. I never knew. big congrats

Well - first of all: thanks for the good ears that you DO have - and making the effort, and kind comments.
But, Man - what a bummer to be losing your ability to hear all that's in a piece of music.
Maybe you could find a Bone-Fone (used? from the 80s) - that transmits hi-fidelity music to you internally,
without the need for full-range 'ears'. Seriously - or even - in combination with your more conventional listening devices.

I haven't yet 'Google-searched' - but there are YouTube videos still up with info & reviews.
They didn't go big in the marketplace, because they were competing with SONY's WALKMAN.

Good luck.

Very nice track, Peter. Admittedly, I did not pay attention to the lyrics, but very nice production.

Naive question: Can you run everything you listen to through an EQ that patches up the weak spots? I mean, weakness in vocal range then boost vocal range? You've possibly tried and its not that simple...

Tom
Thanks, Tom.
Is your question for Paul, or aimed at me for altering the mix?
