I have this garage rock song that I added a bunch of saturation to but I may have gone overboard into plain ol' distortion. I'm digging the way it sounds but I wonder if a screener would appreciate it as much as I do.

I like your music, I think you've captured the vibe very well.
[aside] haven't I heard this song before, at a rally listening party, or for another listing?[/aside]
It sounds like the saturation is all on the mastering bus. It gets distorted in an unpleasant way when more instruments enter. You may have to saturate individual tracks, or stems, to manage the amount of 'grunge'. You may also need to ride levels/saturation amount as the program material varies. JM2C

Thanks for the feedback. I don’t think you could have heard this before as we just wrote it 3-4 days ago. I’ll do that individual tracks with the saturation. Much appreciated.

Hello!
In my opinion, I think the kick sound is too plastic and if you listen to the reference, the kick has a lot of harmonics and resonance. When I listened to your song I noticed the kick is too loud, at least the beater part with the high frequencies.
About saturation, I agree with the ALL the comments you've got from AlanHall.
Great job!
Regards!
