At a Road rally several years ago panelists suggested using DISCO for sending links. I believe TAXI uses it too. I finally started using Disco late last year for pitching to supervisors and libraries.

Here are a few things I've found.

1) I mainly write vocal songs and I've started including the instrumental in the links I send. That way the editor or library can hear both versions. I think it makes it easier for them to imagine how the instrumental portion can be utilized. I always group the instrumental versions at the bottom of the playlist.

2) Disco enables you to know when your link has been accessed and how many times a song has been played. That helps let me know which songs caught someone's ear.

3) Disco has auto-tagging ( requires an up-charge ) features and I find that really helpful. Also you can add metadata to all songs in a playlist with just a few key strokes.

4) DISCO has curator lists to which you can submit songs. These are made available to music supervisors etc.

5) Disco just looks and acts professional. It automatically coverts your wav to mp3 among other things, and is so much smoother than soundcloud in my opinion.

My thoughts so far are very positive on Disco. Running about 50% signing rate on songs pitched.

Do you know of ReelCrafter? That is what I use, and it looks as though it may have nearly all of the features DISCO has. They recently rolled out a new version, which I heavily beta-tested, and they truly did an incredible job, improving upon something that was already exceptional

Hey Marco, after your suggestion I did check out ReelCrafter.

Looks like a great system!
I saw a lot of good reviews from composers but I didn’t see any reviews (maybe I missed them?) from publishers or supervisors.

What I prefer about Disco is it seems to be the industry standard at the moment. So many of my libraries and publishers send me disco links as briefs. Disco may just be a tool that they’re used to. Idk

I do use Disco now to store all my songs and lyrics as well as create links. Soundcloud has too much pirating and endless spam. I definitely haven't been using all the features (create libraries, etc) - thanks for the nudge.

I don't pitch much direct to sups as (for me) the production music library world is were I go. But I certainly need to expand my horizons. And being ready in case a sup is searching on Disco can only be a plus even if odds are small there. Always be prepared. (Vat could it hoit? imagine Jewish accent )

And I agree on all of your points regarding SC. The spam is primarily what stopped me from using the public options. Especially since I'm not trying build a fan base per se . I'm really only looking for industry attention.
Also I've had 2 library owners ask for mp3s before deciding on signing a song. They both told me SC cuts off part of the intros sometimes, and just makes a song sound wonky. In my opinion I can't afford wonky when I only get one shot .

Granted I have had success in the past sending links through Soundcloud., but It's really nice to be able to send links directly from the Disco app. And have access to all of your full and instrumental wav and mp3 versions at a moment's notice..

I believe they still have a trial period, maybe 30 days? That’s what roped me in . I don’t regret it though.

Of all the publishers I work with, only one uses Disco, and I believe they want to ditch it because they cannot afford it anymore. Nobody has ever complained about me sending RC reels, so far, so I believe they are satisfied However, from a brief perspective, I get none from Disco using publishers, as mentioned earlier.
Anyway, one uses whatever one feels comfortable with
