Right at the very beginning the motif is repeated 4 times. Is it Guitar, Bass or Synth? I'm trying to reproduce the sound itself.

Hi John,
The repeated motif is definitely a distorted guitar. Possibly a real guitar or a kontakt instrument. Either way it's supposed to be a "rock" rhythm guitar.
Cheers!

Thanks for the help. I'll research those parameters. Best!

Sounds like a Virtual Guitar from a Kontakt library ...possibly some sort of drop tuning so it sounds low and heavy
Underpinned by a bass sound ..probably also virtual

Sounds to me like its just a guitar playing power chord (the root, the 5th, the octave up root) with an amp sim. And then layered 1 octave below is the same thing just barely present. Along with the root on a bass either being slapped or just very aggressive finger pull. Guitar Sounds kind of Midi(ish) ish to me, but if it wasn't midi the gtr dbl was the main guitar pitched down 1 octave (not re-tracked).
Seems to just be Playing (number is just the nash number) Eb(1) Eb(1) D(7) Eb(1)
Floor tom is so boomy its kind of hard to make everything out without actually throwing it in to my DAW.
