Please submit well-produced Dramedy Instrumentals that could help set the tone in Film, TV, and other media placements. Your submissions can range from sparse and quirky to dark and sombre – to anywhere in between! Your submissions should have memorable motifs, solid arrangements, and polished production. Orchestral-based instrumentation that is generally similar to the references will suit your submissions best. You can incorporate some additional elements (like Hip-Hop beats), as long as the orchestral elements stay the focal element. Craft your pieces around a central motif, and create a sense of forward dynamics and movement by layering instrumentation in and out as they progress. We recommend avoiding anything that sounds overly busy as it could distract from a scene’s dialogue. Please be sure any virtual sounds or instruments you use are high-quality and modern.

Your submissions should be about 2 to 3 minutes long, give or take. Non-faded, buttoned endings with good edit points are needed for this pitch. Do NOT copy the referenced example in any way shape or form. Use it only as a general guide for tempo, tone, texture, and overall vibe. Broadcast Quality is needed.

Hi mclane, I listened to Traffic Jam and later I'll try to catch the other two tracks.
I liked that Traffic Jam is sparse and develops nicely, it's always has something to surprise me but the sounds are consistent.
I think you have to improve the mix.
1. Better balance - listen to it with fresh ears and decide what should be loud and what should be quiet.
2. Panning - disperse the sounds in the stereo range.
3. Reverb - can make it sound more natural, less midi driven, and can be amazing on single sounds like the conga bumps.

Very nice modulation and nice choice of swing rhythm.

Thank you for taking the time to share feedback! I just listened again and I think you're right, especially about the levels. Marimba is too loud and snare is too low. I wasn't sure about how stereo I should go, for some reason my gut was telling me to keep it tight towards the middle, but I'll pan everything out, and add a little reverb to give some room to everything. Very new to this whole sync thing so I appreciate the feedback.

Hi. - I like Traffic jam the most. The only suggestion I can make is that is does sound a bit midi driven- perhaps "humanizing" it a bit more. Saying that I think the composition of traffic jam is the best. Good work and good job.
