Writing Trailers

Hey guys,
I'm a newbie here so apologies if i've posted this in the wrong place.
I'm going to have a go at writing for the listing : TAXI # S220907TT Thriller style trailers.
Now I know that Trailers have a three act rule and I've watched the examples lots of times, however I'm unsure, do I write three parts with edit points. Maybe at 30, 60 and 90 seconds? or as the examples, with an edit point after 5 seconds? (as two of the examples do)
