POSITIVE, EMOTIONAL PIANO & ORCHESTRAL INSTRUMENTALS are needed by a hard-working Music Library that's landing tons of placements in TV and Film.

NOTE: This Library is BRAND NEW to requesting music from TAXI, so this is a great opportunity to create a new, ongoing relationship for your music with an awesome company whose catalog you're probably not in, yet!

This Company is searching for uplifting Instrumentals in the general stylistic ballpark of the following references we got directly from them:

"Years (A Look Back)" by Keith Kenniff

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NJX17WtsaCk

Baylor Volleyball: I Am More

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Uq_izFrOlps

"The Theory of Everything" by Jóhann Jóhannsson

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZbJZ5kU4w5c

Send them well-composed Instrumentals with a hugely emotional, positive, and melodic sound and feel. Your submissions should have emotionally uplifting melodies and engaging arrangements that combine piano and orchestral elements to take listeners on a dynamic and heartfelt journey. Please be sure your production is polished and any virtual instruments or samples you use are high-quality and realistic sounding – nothing dated, stiff, or obviously MIDI-driven will work.

Your submissions should be roughly 2 to 3 minutes long, give or take. Non-faded, buttoned/stinger endings will work best. Do NOT copy the referenced material in any way, shape, or form. Use it only as a general guide for tempo, tone, and overall vibe. Do not submit any material with unauthorized samples of other artists’ Songs, sounds, or any other form of media. Broadcast Quality is needed.

IMPORTANT NOTE: This client will likely want 30 and 60-second versions as well, so please have these on-hand and ready to send them within an hour if the client contacts you.

This Library offers an EXCLUSIVE 50/50 deal, so the material you submit for this request CANNOT be signed with other publishers or catalogs. The specific deal points will be handled directly with the company. You must own or control your Master and Copyright to submit. Please submit as many Instrumentals as you'd like, online or per CD. All submissions will be screened and critiqued by TAXI. Submissions must be received no later than 11:59 PM (PST) on Thursday, November 10th, 2022. TAXI # S221110ST

Lots of good music in here, very nice writing.

I think your piece is much busier than the music in the references. The piano sounds little bright and synthetic, and could use some more reverb. At 0:30 when the piano starts playing 8th notes, it needs to be made lower in the mix, and perhaps some more sustain pedal. There are other places as well where the piano is demanding the listeners attention while not being the main melodic focus.

The strings sound static to, they could use more dynamics and swells to sound more human.

Overall the energy of the piece starts off high and stays there, it could really us some space, a chance to breathe a little more. Check out the last sections of the Baylor Basketball reference and listen to where the piano sits in relation to the strings. Also listen to the quality of the strings. Switch between this reference and your own track, I think you will hear other things as well.

Hi John,
Listening to the 'Theory of Everything' track, I hear the piano hand off the rhythmic motivation to other percussion shortly into the piece, and I don't hear it again. I think that piece breathes a lot more because of the dynamic range made available by the piano's absence. Contrast that with the use of piano in your piece. I think you have an opportunity to carve out some space by editing the piano part. My 2 cents!
