FEEL-GOOD, OLD-SCHOOL-Style HIP-HOP INSTRUMENTAL CUES are needed by a globally distributed Music Licensing Company that's had a lot of success landing TONS of Major Network placements every year!

They're searching for Mid-to-Up Tempo Instrumental Cues in the general wheelhouse of the examples below:

Doordash NBA Commercial

"Love It Here" by Elzhi feat. Slum Village & B. R. Gunna

"Feel Alright" by LNDN DRGS

Although some of the references have vocals, please submit Instrumental Cues only for this request.

Send them in well-produced Hip-Hop Instrumental Cues brimming with tons of emotionally uplifting, feel-good energy and vibes that could work well for TV commercials! Your submissions should have memorable motifs, engaging rhythms, solid arrangements, and plenty of old-school Hip-Hop appeal. Hip-Hop instrumentation in the general wheelhouse of the references will work best for this request. Craft your Cues around a central motif and create forward motion, interest, and dynamics by layering instrumentation in and out as they progress – avoid anything too "looped" sounding. Please be sure your production and any virtual instruments you use are high-quality and polished.

Your submissions should be about 90 seconds to 2 minutes long, give or take. Non-faded, buttoned/stinger endings will work best. Do NOT copy the referenced material in any way, shape, or form. Use it only as a general guide for tempo, tone, and overall vibe. Do NOT submit any material with unauthorized samples of any other artists’ music, sounds, or any other form of media. Broadcast Quality is needed.

NOTE: Do NOT submit any tracks with spoken producer tags/watermarks as they're not usable for film and TV placements.

This Company offers an EXCLUSIVE deal, so the material you submit for this request CANNOT be signed with other publishers or catalogs. Sync fees will be split 50/50. The Publisher will get 100% of the Publisher’s share, and you’ll keep 100% of the Writer’s share. You must own or control your Master and Copyright to pitch for this opportunity. Please submit as many Instrumental Cues as you’d like, online or per CD. All submissions will be screened and critiqued by TAXI. Submissions must be received no later than 11:59 PM (PST) on Wednesday, January 18th, 2023. TAXI # S230118HH

Hey Larry-

This is a really good track! But I don't feel it's right for this listing.. It is very similar to the 3rd reference, but the main difference would be the rhythm of the groove and the drum pattern. 'You Don't Stop' has a disco feel to it with the drums, there's no four-on-the-floor with hip hop. 'Feel Alright' has more of a Hip Hop/Funk feel to it with the rhythm and beat, whereas your track is more Disco/Funk.

Still a great track, with a nice positive feel and an almost pop sound, that should be able to get forwarded/signed for the appropriate listing. Great job, nice groove!

I agree with the "too close to ref3" comments. Change up the rhythm and harmonic progression for that main synth riff and that will probably do the trick.
