NOTABLE: This Director used a bunch of TAXI member's music in his last film, and loved what he found so much that he came back for more this time!!
Quoting the Director: "TAXI was invaluable on [our last film]. Would love to work together again on this one."
This Director is searching high and low for Mid-Tempo Songs with Male Vocals that could work as a replacement for "I've Got to Get Away (aka Man Next Door)" by The Paragons, which is currently temped in.

They're NOT looking for clones or soundalikes! Similar tempo, style, and overall vibe? Yes. Clones? No!
NOTE: This Director is open to hearing both high-quality vintage recordings (recorded back in the day), OR recently recorded Songs in the general production style of the reference.
About the Film: This is the story of a disgruntled former boxer who becomes responsible for taking care of his grandson and uses this new journey to help lay old grudges to rest.
Please send them original, late '60s style Ska/Reggae Songs with memorable melodies, compelling, well-performed vocals, and solid rhythms. Your submissions should have engaging instrumentation and arrangements that fall in the wheelhouse of the reference – think guitars, bass, drums. Well-crafted lyrics that are thematically consistent with example are needed, as well. Your production and any virtual sounds or samples you use should be high-quality as well as sound era and genre-appropriate.
Lyrics that avoid references to specific names, dates, times, brands, and places will make your Songs easier to place. Please do NOT copy the referenced artist or song in any way, shape, or form. Use it as a general guide for tempo, tone, and overall vibe. Do NOT submit any material with unauthorized samples of any other artists’ music, sounds, or any other form of media. Broadcast Quality is needed. Era-appropriate Broadcast Quality will work for vintage recordings.
The license fee for this placement is (up to) $300, depending on the ultimate use. This is a Non-Exclusive, Direct-to-Producer/Director placement, so you’ll keep 100% ownership of your Copyright and Master Recording, plus you’ll also get 100% of the License Fee and any applicable performance royalties. You must own or control your Copyright and Master Recording to pitch for this opportunity. Please submit as many Songs as you’d like, online or per CD. All submissions will be screened and critiqued by TAXI. Submissions must be received no later than 11:59 PM (PDT) on Sunday March 19th, 2023. TAXI # S230319ND
