Beautiful Peter. perfect voice for this vibe. I said out loud before I cranked it up, "I bet there will be a steel in here".

Nice work ole peanut gallery boy.

Thank you, Paul, for the ears, and the kind & humorous words.
"Let The Peanuts Roll!!" - maybe that needs to be a song, eh? You better believe it: if it says "Country" there's pedal steel and/or fiddle!
The singer, Stephanie Pedraza, was introduced to me by our resident Flamenco guitar Maestro (& Amigo) Andre Stepanian.
I like to give thanks and credit to whom it is due.
Cheers! Here's today's BUMP:

Thanks - and likewise with your Country track.
Is it a secret? - your name, I mean.
Rather than address you as "Hey You!".

Hi, Peter! Yes, a beautiful song and arrangement. Lovely singing, and of course terrific pedal steel
I have an off-the-wall question for you: when you are hiring the performers, do you give the singer direction on "how much country" (for example) they should put into the performance? I know you use Nashville talent; your track is a lot cleaner (more adult contemporary) than what I hear on the 'Grand Ole Opry'. I hope I don't offend with that question, just curious.

Thanks, Alan.
It's not so off-the-wall, rather a legit question. Fact is, I went through at least 5 female singers in my search for 'the right voice' for the song. All of them are great singers...
but they're ones I didn't KEEP for the track.
And it wasn't until I heard Andre's duet partner's voice that my ears told me "That's it: she's the one." And, she's not a Nashville artist.
It wasn't so much about finding a Country voice as it was find the best delivery of the lyrics, as I heard it. I had in mind a voice that might be more like something you'd hear on a
TV/Hallmark holiday story, Christmas season 'special'. To that end, Stephanie's was the what the song needed.
Cheers... and a
WEDNESDAY BUMP... to boot.

Very nice. Pretty!

Not sure if you are pitching music libraries but this time a year is good for sending them Xmas songs. Some of the Taxi friendly libraries are looking for Xmas material (Hallmark movies, TV specials, etc). The only issue there might be that country is much less popular for sync. I assume you have a WFH signed for the vocalist.
And, of course, if you're not into the sync thing, ignore. Well done, lovely voice.
Best of luck!

Casey
