hello I have not been on Taxi for a while got a return for the looney cartoon listing S240321RT THIS IS WHA THE SCREENER SAID What I like most about this song
Vibe sounds great, and the instrumentation works well.

I think you could improve this song by
The different instruments could blend better in the mix. It seems that some combinations sound like they are far away from each other such as 0:49. HERE IS THE SONG IT IS CALLED SATURDAY MORNING AT HTTP://WWW.SOUNDCLOUD.COM/777RD
THANKS FOR LISTENING, RON

To me, your mallet and percussion instruments seem substantially louder than your orchestral instruments. Your mallet and percs also have significantly less reverb than your reeds and strings. Which is what's making it sound like they are "far away".

At 1:37 I feel like I'm listening to the clarinets at an orchestral hall. At that same moment I feel like the mallet instrument to the Right, is in my living room with me.

Yep, the screener got it right in terms of space / reverb. This is what Ronin Chris Murphy would call "reverb confusion" - where instruments are coming from seemingly different environments & locations and the sounds aren't emulating their space on a sound stage.

You're probably working with a variety of virtual instruments in this track, some of which have their own reverbs "baked in", some of which have them default set to certain parameters, and some of which were recorded dry.

You can take the reverb off of each instrument and put an overall reverb on the master fader, or assign them to an aux so you have more individual control.
