Hello everyone,
I am hoping for some feedback on this track. As the track is due tomorrow, I am hoping for the comments to be on the mix/fixable things.

Here is the listing - which seems to want something still contemporary but with some throwback in it too.

Giving this a bump, as the listing closes today. Hoping that a set of fresh ears might be able to spot any issues.

Not a big deal, if I don't get any feedback but . . . it'd be kinda cool to either get affirmation or coaching.

Not sure if you're after mix feedback or comments on the composition, I think the mix is ok, not stellar, it kinda depends on what they expect of a "demo", seems like demos are sounding more and more polished and pro these days. I like the verses, the the meter of the lyrics give it a nice momentum, i feel like the chorus is a bit of a letdown compared to the verses. Big grain of salt, I'm not a mainstream country guy, just going with my gut!

Mix Feedback for sure.

Anything fixable that you can spot eeoo in terms of the mix?

That opening guitar lick is really compressed! The electric guitar playing melodies on the left is a bit wooly, maybe a bit of high passing? The lead vox are pretty tucked in, I'd like to hear them out front a bit more.

The old guy ears would DEMO these changes before making them permanent:
1) cut out the first 9 seconds of the Intro: start the track at the :10 mark, making is shorter.
2) cut the snare by 2db.
3) boost the vocal by 2db.
(hope I can hear that before you make your final mix).

3. I did NOT shorten the song - the song is already pretty short on time. However, I figured one reason to cut the intro in your feedback might be boredom. So, now I added in a little melodic instrumental topline too. Hopefully this will make the introduction more interesting.

1. Re-recorded intro hook/guitar. Plus, tried to write something a bit more hooky.
2 Elec. Guitar - I dialed out the lows on my Elec. Guitar bus pretty generously - like a low cut to around 140 hz.
3. Per your feedback and Funsongs - took the vocals up.
