The feedback that I got from the Taxi screener is that this tune sounded "Pedestrian". I don't know what that means but I just recorded
another pass at Ol' Rusty and I hope that it is more marketable for Sync. I would appreciate some guidance from my peers here at Taxi.
I don't know if I'm close or still not hitting the mark.
Thx,
Stu

"Pedestrian". I don't know what that means
Plodding, dull, lifeless
It's not very well recorded, the guitar sounds like it has 20yr old strings and has been recorded with a blanket on the mic
Have you A/B'd it with any references ? If you had an A/B plugin and some decent ref tracks I think you'd immediately hear the ' pedestrian' feedback

OK, I can work with that. Do you have any feedback about the arrangement and the performance or is it just the recording that need freshening up?

Hey Stubee - Digging the overall vibe of this. To my ear the groove isn't quite there and like Cosmic said, the recording quality isn't great. It almost sounds like a really low res mp3, that kind of vibe. I would re-record that acoustic guitar "foundation" track and make sure the groove is rock steady cuz if you start off with a track that doesn't groove nothing you play over it will groove either. My 2c.

Thank you Cosmic Dolphin, eeoo and Telefunkin. I've reworked it with your comments in mind.
I hope is' better now. I'm trying to play all the instruments and get better at all of them.
My touch on the Fiddle has been a little heavy handed and I'm trying to give it a lighter touch.
I really love the process of working through all of this. I don't expect to turn the switch on and
make everything perfect in one pass, so I appreciate your help in directing me in the right direction.
I also tried making changes to This one

I might be a little closer to the mark on that one but I am not a good judge of it.
