My guess is that this is an assembly of sampled phrases, but the resulting collage sounds a bit random and doesn't flow like a coherent piece of music. Some of the instruments are bone dry whist others are swimming in reverb, and that doesn't help the coherence either.

I know I've made similar comments before (as have others) about tracks where you've used the same strategy. If those tracks didn't earn a forward then maybe there's a message in that outcome. My suggestion would be to shift the focus more towards composition rather than assembly.

I have to agree 100% with what telefunkin mentioned, this tune is like a Frankenstein of bits and bobs put together without a coherent foundation, and the uneven reverberation makes that evident even more.

Try establishing a solid foundation and build on top of that, taking the time to study the instrumentation in the references and how the traditional instruments themselves are usually performed. Also, using pizzicato strings in Middle Eastern dramedy is not a cardinal sin, I once did one where I used those as well as solo bassoon and clarinet alongside a Turkish flute, traditional hand percussion and qanun

I'd just add to the above comments that my ear *really* wanted to hear some sort of consistent chord progression or even tonality. I understand middle-eastern flavor might mean there isn't a traditional Western chord progression, but I couldn't hear a clear tonal center, and that makes it really difficult to stay with the music.
