I played a country style rhythm track and the first words out of my mouth were "so long". I have changed the lyrics at least 20 times. She gave him so much trouble, my first lyrics were " I would never punch a lady but" ha ha I will be 76 in a couple weeks and you will hear my vocal is not at all good anymore. I do still like to make these tracks. Sorry for a couple of words that aren't so nice.

Those lyrics! The song is definitely more fun to listen to than to read. :D

Call me crazy, but I kinda want to hear it without the drums.

Hi Doug. Yeah, comedy doesn't work for an income, but out of the hundreds of tracks I have composed, this the first that is really weird. I used EZdrummer. The rest is all me :) I'll give it a run without drums. I have done that many times. Thanks for the listen and the comments.

I used EZdrummer.
What is your DAW? I use Reaper and you can sync the tempo to an instrument instead of using strict timing. That might be why they stand out to me, the drums are very perfect.

I see you are from Los Angeles, I hope you were out of the fire zone? I use Studio one 5. I do have to first say I can't do any fancy stuff in the production line at all. I don't even use compression. I just keep breaking the tracks and lowering areas that have spiked. It takes hours, but i am retired. So, me getting the drum track to loosen a bit would be tough. I will look up that point
I listen and observed your tracks. I saw that the waveform was almost perfectly flat at the top. Not sure if that is good or bad. Something in both songs sounded off a bit, but I don't have the expertise to help. I hope some of the others will chirp on that point.
have a great daky and nice to meet you.
Paul

I am for now, thanks! Just watched a giant press conference detailing the next areas to be affected and how to prepare.

It looks like Studio One allows for tempo mapping, check it out: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FMDBTDEn-dw&t=57s

Would be curious to know which tracks you listened to. When I do hip-hop or rock I engage in some hard limiting.
