One of the suggestion on my prior tracks were to tighten the guitar tracks up a bit. Here is the start of a new track. Let me know if the guitars are synced up tight enough.

thanks for listening!

Hello,

If you really want to nail it, I think that there still is a delay with the double tracks.

Here is an AC/DC type example. Two rhythm guitars are panned hard left/right.
They should "kind of" sound like the same guitar, but little differences gives it that bigger sound.

Good luck!

I have to agree with Keith. It almost sounds as if you took the same guitar part copy and pasted it to another track, moved it off by a few milliseconds and panned. Try playing the part two separate times. If you only have one guitar play with different pickup selections each time. carve out for the bass and pan.

At least that is almost always what I do.

For what it's worth

Matt

Thanks for your feedback. There are 5 rhythm guitars. Two are panned hard l/r, two are panned 80% l/r and one is almost up the middle with the volume pulled back and just playing the root power chord of the main riff. All 5 track were recorded separately (no copy paste) with slightly different eq's and gain. I did use the same guitar on each track.

Just my opinion (and depending on what you are looking for)
you can probably get away with 3 gtrs (hard left, middle, hard right)
If you sync them up, they will probably sound "bigger" then the 5 parts that are not really synced up.

GDO,

Sounded good to me mate. I think the slight out-of-sync gave it a nice live feel.

Cool cool. This version has two of the l/r guitar tracks out and a slightly altered drum track.

Sounded pretty tight. Being REALLY nit-picky, there's a slight difference at 0:32-0:33, which to me sounded like the palm muting on the right guitar was lightened and the sound got brighter. Or perhaps there was a volume imbalance.

Once again, I like that sound, I like the little differences but if you're going for tight to keep screeners happy then that might be worth a look.

Hi - I like the riff but I still think there is a slight problem with the sync - when it starts the left channel seems to rush it a bit. I also think that the guitars could do with one of them being a little bit cleaner - more like a crunch so that they could be mixed to give it a little more bite and definition as it sounds like the original guitar sound has been used for all of the guitars. If you listen to ACDC they have a little more separation which sometimes putting a very tight short reverb can help as it is doesn't cloud the overall track. Its headed in the right direction tho - good stuff.
