Davrom....I thought the mix was great...good mood setting piece with great selection of instrumention...the only thing I can think of that may stop it from going somewhere is the guitar squeeks in the beginning....personally , I like 'em...but some people don't...reall y nice piece of work!

I really enjoyed listening to it, really nice dynamics... Like fret17, I too like the string squeaks (personal preference.)

MAN, this was a soothing piece! Lovin' every inch of that audio. My ears are worn out from mixing all day, but nothing I had sounded as great as this! Way cool (the squeeks is a keeper IMO)!

The mix sounds really good. I might take the timpani drums down just a hair, but otherwise it sounds good to my ears.

i generally don't have a problem with squeaks either, but in this case the reverb was putting them over the top. i couldn't tone them down to an acceptable level so they had to go

kinda like sibilance, it's okay until it distracts

I really loved the first part of the song, very emotional and very laid back.
But, when the second part started it kinda went all over the place.
The guitar is really great and sets the emotional vibe for the song.

I honestly didn't like the tom/timpani thing. It sounded very dry and 80's. More reverb needed in my opinion.
I don't know if you wanted it to be somewhat non rhythmical as well, I felt it that way, very distracting.

The strings need more vibrato in the second part, they had very long notes with almost no vibrato or so.

Did you compress the second part? Have you used an overall reverb as well?
