Tom, Paul,

Thanks guys! What about the production? Do you think it's "Broadcast Quality"?
I record this stuff with the most inexpensive gear you could possibly imagine!!! LOL
Anyway, thanks for taking the time to listen to my stuff.

Cheers,
Don

 you're funny Tom!
I'm not sure I'll ever get a forward with this stuff, it's kinda dark.
One thing for sure though, I've been following this forum for some time now and I have to say that I've learned alot from everyone here!

Thank you all,

Don

Hey Don,

There are listings for this type of music. Was a couple not too long ago... I missed em.. was busy doing other stuff and forgot to check the opportunities... /sigh

The song is cool as sh+t, the vocals are cool too. The production at times seems a little lacking but it's not a big deal.

Onto the mix.. you have a Ozzy "No More Tears" mix going here with the HEAVY low end. It MIGHT be a bit too much. The only other thing I would have trouble with is the drums. They are a bit lacking in a few spots. One of the spots I am talking about is the part at 2:00. It just doesn't feel right and the only thing I can put my finger on is the drums.

I am being nit picky here too and it's just one persons opinion... so take it as such. Cool tune dude,

Rob

Rob,

Thanks for the advice.
Yah, drum machines suck and I think my lack of $$$ is the reason for the lack of production quality.(or inexperience)
But what I'm really interested in is the bottom end thing you mentioned.
What do you think I should do about that? Tweak it in the overall mix, or in the bass tracks, or in the kick?
I am the bass player by the way

Cheers,

Don

Hey Don,

I meant Ozzy "Perry Mason"...

I am not sure what to tell you about the low end in the song. Other then the typical highpass on things. High pass the guitars around 50hz -100hz and do a 2db low shelving cut about 250hz. No more then 2db UNLESS you feel it needs more. Let the bass carry that part more. Also, cut the kick around 60hz so the bass can carry there. Maybe cut the bass a bit around 100hz and let the kick carry there. OF course this is only if you want the bass guitar as the lowest element.

BTW, I am talking SMALL changes because I REALLY like the sound you have going here. That HEAVY sound is cool!!!... /headbangin'

Hey guys,

Haven't been able to check out the forum for a while. Man it's amazing how your post can get buried so quick in this category!
This has got to be one of the most active categories on the forum.
Anyway, I just wanted to thank you all for the positive comments and input on my tune.

Rob, I expected you to hand me my a$$ on this! (I've seen a lot of your critiques)
It's cool to get such a positive response from you on the first go-round.

I'm getting ready to post some more stuff for you all to critique.
Don't pull any punches!

Don
