feedback on style

Hi all, i am old to taxi new to the forum. i was wondering if i could get some opinions on this. this listing was for a song that was int he style of the black keys with a unique view on love. The song was returned because it was off target stylistically. Other than having bass in it i think it is right in there.

I have been noticing all the "A La Black Keys" listings lately, so I have been listening to them to develop a feel for writing in that style. I would guess your song is too polished sounding, on the Black Keys songs I listened to, the drums in the keys stuff are kinda flat and boxy sounding, the guitar is kinda 70s raunchy, the vocal is lower in pitch and distorted, kinda 70s raunchy also, I would guess the Keys are trying to be 70s raunchy in their recordings as part of "their" sound ....... if that makes sense to you......but what do I know......LOL
