I tried to record finger snaps, but my fingers just couldn't keep up.

The only way I can think of creating snaps for the 2 to 3 min song is using a loop recording.

Is there another way or tool out that that creates them?

Why not just record 4 or 8 bars and loop it? You could do several takes and either layer them or comp together the best bits. If they're not an ultra featured element, then that should work fine.
