Custom Critiques are great!

I don't always get a custom critique but when I have an itch about something in a song I am not sure is right, and then it gets a return with a comment I will send it in... and I LOVE it when the critique comes back with them loving the song and pointing out some possible improvements.
On this song Sweet Sweet Home https://soundcloud.com/michellelockey/sweet-sweet-home
I wasn't sure if the vocal was bright enough or it needed some more instrumentation, and wasn't sure whether to keep the whistles..
Well, it got almost all 9's out of 10's and the screener loved it
I might take them up on the suggestions below for the beat.
Anyway custom critiques cannot be beat, I may not be able to afford them for every song, but when I have something in a song that bothers me, they are a good thing... that and the peer to peer section in the forum
Hi Michelle, thank you for submitting "You're My Sweet Sweet Home", it's
a very hooky song, and very marketable, especially for commercials. I like
the vocals, they could be a little brighter, but they do not get in the way of
the song. I also like the whistles, it adds texture to the track, and gives a lot
of options for film & tv.
The one thing about the song, is that the peppy, up sunny song and vibe
is not carried by an up driving beat.
You may want to explore putting a counter beat to the track that "plays"
with the ukulele, so every instrument + vocal is not synched to a click, but
there is motion, just like you did with the egg at the end of the song. It will
make your track fresher, it will make it feel a little faster, and ultimately, it
will lift the mood to a happier place (which add agencies love).
