...and it doesn't bother me really, because i already know that commercial, tv-friendly funk music is mostly going to be derivative. the tracks i submitted were not that.
lesson: keep writing and submitting the art forms you love to play, and eventually the right ears will hear it, grab it, and place it.
and...all due credit to the screener, who was was just doing his/her job.

That's the spirit. Keep up the good work, Craw. You've got more tunes in your personal catalog now, and you can pitch 'em when the right opportunity presents itself. Nothing wrong with having stuff in the hopper, even if it comes at the expense of a $5 return!

There is a downside however. If your tracks don't make the cut, what chance do folks like me have?
